Eigentlich ist es ursprünglich die Idee zu "bsd.wiki". Jedoch sollen auch andere Betriebssysteme, etwa Illumos oder auch die verschiedensten Ausführungen von GNU/Linux, Teil sein können. Letztlich ist ist es der "größenwahnsinnige" Ansatz ein Wiki für (nahezu) alle Betriebssysteme anbieten zu können. Im Fokus steht dabei nicht, dass es ein zentrales Wiki geben soll. Ziel ist es nach "gemeinsamen" Standards die Benutzung für die Verwendung von verschiedensten Anwendungen einheitlich strukturiert bereitstellen zu können. Ein netter Nebeneffekt soll sein, dass theoretisch von einander gelernt werden kann.
