Help completing the GNU-Recommendation
The GNU people would like to make some hardware and software recommendations to circumvent the FCC Hardware Lockdown which potentially threatens Open Wireless Communities especially.
Help us completing this table!
Solution = Libre Hardware Boards + extra wifi
- Having Openwrt run on a Virtual Machine: (Virtual Box OR QEMU) + Image + Authentication(script) of the Software
- Boards having a USB or better mPCIe socket: Board + external Wifi + Image + Authentication, Check the boards below wether they contain the following chipsets Allwinner A10/A13/A20, Freescale iMX, Samsung Exynos, MediaTek SoCs, these are to be preferred!
- Boards having Wifi built-into (maybe blocked by FCC too): AR9390 (AR93xx)2.7Ghz, MT7662 for 5Ghz
- Routers TL-WDR4300 as long as it works, a libre hardware router: WRTnode
